Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate daily work of trade contractors to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
  2. Manage project budgets for general conditions and site services.
  3. Develop and communicate work plans for field changes.
  4. Understand contract documents to anticipate issues.
  5. Verify permits for subcontractors.
  6. Enforce safety compliance and develop safety strategies.
  7. Plan maintenance, shutdowns, and tie-ins.
  8. Build credibility with project partners.
  9. Resolve jurisdictional disputes with support.
  10. Lead contractor meetings.
  11. Maintain reports and documentation.
  12. Manage project schedules and contingency plans.
  13. Communicate schedule updates.
  14. Coordinate jobsite logistics.
  15. Develop and oversee the Quality in Construction plan.
  16. Manage material and crew needs.
  17. Train and develop direct reports.
  18. Assist in preconstruction planning and scope development.
  19. Track Time and Materials (T&M).
  20. Lead daily huddles and pre-task planning.
  21. Engage with the community and support business development.
  22. Communicate company strategy to team members.
  23. Support tasks for junior positions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 10-15 years of experience on large commercial/industrial projects or in a lead superintendent role.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification.
  • STS-C Certification.
  • First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed training.
  • Equivalent education and experience acceptable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability.
  • Experience with sales, interviews, and presentations.
  • Teamwork and proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software.
  • Knowledge of all construction phases, divisions, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with Pull Planning.
  • Deep understanding of construction safety and ability to enforce safety protocols.
  • Proven supervisory experience.

Salary is competitive and based on experience, education, and market data, ranging from $130,000 to $185,000 in Minnesota, plus benefits and a retirement plan.
