Position Overview:
Hays Electrical Services seeks a highly experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations for large-scale multifamily and high-rise electrical projects in Houston and Dallas. This senior role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality and compliance.

The on-site leader will supervise crews, coordinate with stakeholders, manage schedules and resources, and ensure all work exceeds regulatory and client expectations. The role also involves mentoring other Superintendents, promoting leadership, consistency, and high-performance across sites.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Oversight & Management: Supervise daily operations, ensure compliance with codes and safety standards, oversee projects in Houston and Dallas.
2. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead electrical crews, mentor Superintendents, foster a culture of accountability and safety.
3. Scheduling & Coordination: Develop project schedules, coordinate with subcontractors and trades.
4. Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections, resolve deficiencies.
5. Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards, lead safety meetings.
6. Materials & Equipment Management: Ensure availability and maintenance of tools and materials.
7. Budget Control: Monitor costs, identify savings.
8. Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as on-site contact, provide updates, resolve issues.
9. Problem Solving: Address site challenges promptly.
10. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain logs and reports.
11. Project Close-Out: Oversee final inspections and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree or certification preferred
• 10+ years in electrical construction, 5+ years in supervisory roles
• Experience with large-scale multifamily projects
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, ADA, FHA, local electrical codes in Houston and Dallas
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficient in management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
• Willingness to travel frequently between Houston and Dallas
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; CPR/First Aid a plus
• Valid driver’s license and clean record
