Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee West Region craft resources and field leadership teams, ensuring staffing, safety, and quality across multiple large-scale projects. You will act as the technical authority on contract documents and drive planning, budgeting, and look-ahead scheduling to meet owner expectations and deadlines.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, 15+ years of superintendent experience on multi‑million-dollar builds,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of superintendent experience on industrial structural steel erection, power plant, and heavy lift projects valued at $50M+.
  • Proven track record delivering complex construction projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of building, life-safety, and construction codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, scheduling methodologies, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and resource planning.

The General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing craft resources within the West Region, supporting and managing field leadership teams, and ensuring adherence to budget, company process, schedule, safety, and quality objectives. This role serves as the primary liaison between executive leadership, project teams, and field operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for West Region Craft resources , mentoring and managing field leadership teams while ensuring projects are staffed, resourced, and executed effectively across multiple locations.

  • Ensure project executionin accordance withcontract terms, conditions, scope of work, and project requirements , ensuring compliance with project specifications, owner expectations, and companyobjectives.

  • Serve as the technical authority on contractdocuments ,construction drawings, specifications, manufacturer data, submittals, RFIs, and constructability concerns, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, contractual obligations, and project requirements.

  • Lead project planning and controls , including preconstruction activities, budgeting, forecasting,manpowerplanning, procurement coordination, schedule management, and weekly look-ahead planning to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

  • Champion safety, quality, and operational excellence by enforcing company safety policies, overseeing inspections and quality control programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners to resolve complex construction challenges,maintainstrong working relationships, and drive successful regional outcomes.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple large, complex construction projects simultaneously, assess performance against projectobjectives, andidentifysolutions to technical and operational challenges.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field;oran equivalent combination of education and progressive construction leadership experience.

  • Minimum15years of Superintendent experience managing industrial Structural Steel Erection, Power Plant, and Heavy Lift construction projects valued at $50 million or more.

  • Proventrack recorddelivering complex construction projects.

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable building, life-safety, and construction codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, project scheduling methodologies, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and resource planning.

  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other contract documents to ensure successful project execution.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and field leadership teams simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • Experience leading large-scale projects exceeding $100 million in total construction value.

  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.

  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
