Job summary

Loenbro, LLC is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee West Region craft resources, lead field teams, and ensure projects meet budget, schedule, safety, and quality goals. This role acts as a liaison between executive leadership, project teams, and field operations.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering and 15+ years of superintendent experience on large industrial projects. Travel up to 75% across the West region. Colorado pay range is posted.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of Superintendent experience on heavy industrial and process-intensive projects valued at $50M+.
  • Proven track record delivering complex construction projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of building, life-safety, and construction codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and resource planning.
  • Ability to review and interpret drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other contract documents.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects and field teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for West Region Craft and Supervisory resources, mentoring field leadership teams and ensuring staffing and execution.
  • Manage project execution per contract terms, scope, and requirements, ensuring compliance with specifications and owner expectations.
  • Serve as the technical authority on drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and constructability concerns.
  • Lead project planning and controls, including preconstruction, budgeting, forecasting, manpower planning, procurement, schedule management, and weekly look-ahead planning.
  • Champion safety, quality, and operational excellence by enforcing safety policies and quality programs.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners to resolve challenges and drive outcomes.
  • Demonstrate leadership and problem-solving to manage multiple large, complex projects and assess performance against objectives.

Job Summary

The General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing overseeing craft resources within the West Region, managing field leadership teams, and ensuring adherence to budget, company process, schedule, safety, and quality objectives. This role serves as the primary liaison between executive leadership, project teams, and field operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for West Region Craft and Supervisory resources, mentoring and managing field leadership teams while ensuring projects are staffed, resourced, and executed effectively across multiple locations.
  • Manage project execution in accordance with contract terms, conditions, scope of work, and project requirements, ensuring compliance with project specifications, owner expectations, and company objectives.
  • Serve as the technical authority on contract documents, construction drawings, specifications, manufacturer data, submittals, RFIs, and constructability concerns, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, contractual obligations, and project requirements.
  • Lead project planning and controls, including preconstruction activities, budgeting, forecasting, manpower planning, procurement coordination, schedule management, and weekly look-ahead planning to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Champion safety, quality, and operational excellence by enforcing company safety policies, overseeing inspections and quality control programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners to resolve complex construction challenges, maintain strong working relationships, and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple large, complex construction projects simultaneously, assess performance against project objectives, and identify solutions to technical and operational challenges.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and progressive construction leadership experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of Superintendent experience managing heavy industrial and other process-intensive industrial projects construction projects including structural concrete, and civil excavation projects valued at $50 million or more.
  • Proven track record delivering complex construction projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable building, life-safety, and construction codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, project scheduling methodologies, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and resource planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other contract documents to ensure successful project execution.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and field leadership teams simultaneously.
Preferred
  • Experience leading large-scale projects exceeding $100 million in total construction contract value, on projects with multi-hundred million dollar to billion dollar plus TIC (total installed cost).
  • Experience leading field construction on large, complex heavy industrial capital projects, including power generation (combined cycle, simple cycle, RICE, etc.), chemical and petrochemical facilities, refineries, LNG facilities, mining, and/or other process-intensive industrial projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
