Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a General Superintendent for the West Region to oversee field leadership and craft resources, ensure adherence to budget, process, schedule, safety, and quality objectives, and serve as liaison between executive leadership and field operations.

The role requires directing multiple large-scale projects, managing staffing, and coordinating with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and management to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of superintendent experience on heavy industrial projects valued at $50M+
  • Proven track record delivering complex construction projects
  • Thorough knowledge of building, life-safety, and construction codes and standards
  • Strong understanding of contracts, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Ability to review and interpret drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and other docs for execution
  • Exceptional leadership and communication across multiple projects

Job Summary

The General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing supervisory and craft resources within the West Region, managing field leadership teams, and ensuring adherence to budget, company process, schedule, safety, and quality objectives. This role serves as the primary liaison between executive leadership, project teams, and field operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for West Region Craft and Supervisory resources, mentoring and managing field leadership teams while ensuring projects are staffed, resourced, and executed effectively across multiple locations.
  • Manage project executionin accordance withcontract terms, conditions, scope of work, and project requirements, ensuring compliance with project specifications, owner expectations, and companyobjectives.
  • Serve as the technical authority on contractdocuments,construction drawings, specifications, manufacturer data, submittals, RFIs, and constructability concerns, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, contractual obligations, and project requirements.
  • Lead project planning and controls, including preconstruction activities, budgeting, forecasting,manpowerplanning, procurement coordination, schedule management, and weekly look-ahead planning to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Champion safety, quality, and operational excellenceby enforcing company safety policies, overseeing inspections and quality control programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and trade partnersto resolve complex construction challenges,maintainstrong working relationships, and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillswith the ability to manage multiple large, complex construction projects simultaneously, assess performance against projectobjectives, andidentifysolutions to technical and operational challenges.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and field leadership teams simultaneously.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field;oran equivalent combination of education and progressive construction leadership experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of Superintendent experience managing heavy industrial and other process-intensive industrial projects construction projects including Structural Steel Erection, and Heavy Lift with projects valued at $50 million or more.
  • Proventrack recorddelivering complex construction projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable building, life-safety, and construction codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, project scheduling methodologies, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and resource planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and other contract documents to ensure successful project execution.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and field leadership teams simultaneously.
Preferred:
  • Experience leading large-scale projects exceeding $100 million in total construction contract value, on projects with multi-hundred million dollar to billion dollar plus TIC (total installed cost).
  • Experience leading field construction on large, complex heavy industrial capital projects, including power generation (combined cycle, simple cycle, RICE, etc.), chemical and petrochemical facilities, refineries, LNG facilities, mining, and/or other process-intensive industrial projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
