Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand tools and power equipment to remove excess metal and burs from workpieces.
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain tools, machinery, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Assist with basic machine setup, attachment installation, and production support.
  • Examine finished work to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Communicate any injuries, unsafe acts, or equipment failures to the team lead immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and material usage as required.
  • Support other production areas as needed.
  • Assist in general shop housekeeping and material handling.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.

Job Summary:

The General Shop Laborer supports daily production activities by safely performing hands‑on manufacturing tasks, equipment setup, and general labor duties. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet production goals in a fast‑paced environment.

Less than 2 yrs experience. Knowledge of basic hand tools. Can perform touch up painting, gluing of small parts, adhering nameplates with rivets, and deburring.

2 - 4 yrs of experience. Knowledge of multiple containers build processes. Capable of interpreting blueprints and work orders. Capable of operating heat treat oven, bead blast machine, and passivation.

4+ yrs of experience. Certified forklift operator. Proficient in gasket making process. Completes pressure test and/or final assembly documentation.

Essential Job Functions:

Schedule:

The standard schedule for this position is:

  • Day Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Night Shift: Monday–Wednesday, 4:30 PM to 5:00 AM, and Thursday, 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM

Flexibility may be required to work additional hours, evenings, or weekends based on production needs.
