Job summary

Fedtech Inc. is seeking a General Shop Assistant to support overall shop operations, performing secondary operations, light machining, and general cleanup.

The role is full-time, with hours Monday through Thursday from 2:30pm to 1:00am, and may be assigned to different duties as needed. Essential duties include deburring, grinding, loading/unloading materials, operating drill presses and mills, and assisting machine operators while keeping work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Stand for the entire shift and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform secondary operations such as deburring, grinding, cleaning, counting, and packaging parts.
• Load and unload materials onto machines.
• Remove parts from machines.
• Operate basic machinery such as drill presses and mills for light machining tasks.
• Assist machine operators as needed.

Full-time (M-Th 2:30pm - 1:00am)

Essential Functions

• Uphold a positive company image through professionalism and teamwork.
• Perform general shop tasks as assigned.
• Take on additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more repeatedly and frequently throughout the shift (8-10-hour day).
• Stand for the entire duration of the shift.
