Job summary

Fedtech, Inc. is seeking a General Shop Assistant to support overall shop operations by performing secondary operations, basic machining, and general cleanup. This role is flexible and may be assigned to different duties throughout the shop as needed.

The position is full-time, Monday through Thursday, 2:30pm to 1:00am, with duties including deburring, grinding, loading materials, operating basic machinery, and keeping work areas clean and organized.

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Deburr, grind, clean, count, and package parts.
• Load/unload materials onto machines.
• Remove parts from machines.
• Operate basic drills and mills for light machining.
• Assist machine operators as needed.

Job description

Full-time (M-Th 2:30pm - 1:00am)

Essential Functions:

• Perform secondary operations such as deburring, grinding, cleaning, counting, and packaging parts.
• Load and unload materials onto machines.
• Remove parts from machines.
• Operate basic machinery such as drill presses and mills for light machining tasks.
• Assist machine operators as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Uphold a positive company image through professionalism and teamwork.
• Perform general shop tasks as assigned.
• Take on additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more repeatedly and frequently throughout the shift (8–10-hour day).
• Stand for the entire duration of the shift.
