Job Description

The General Service Technician role is full-time or part-time and is an hourly position based on the needs of the business. The technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role requires delivering exceptional 5-star service to guests, effectively communicating vehicle issues and proposed solutions, and ensuring guest expectations for time and quality are met.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs according to Monro standards.
• Perform tire services such as wheel removal, balancing, patching, changing, mounting, and TPMS repair.
• Perform vehicle services including lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance, battery testing, and installation.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection process on every vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services.
• Assist in inventory management and store duties, maintaining cleanliness and guest-ready condition.
• Follow safety standards and test drive vehicles per policies.
• Adhere to company policies, government standards, and safety protocols.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training courses.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating initiative and strong customer service skills.
