Overview

Big O General Service Technicians perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires; properly torque wheels; check and fill fluids; replace filters and lights
• Unload tires, merchandise, and supplies from trucks and deliveries
• Inspect disposed tires, store or dispose of them properly
• Clean facilities, tools, equipment, and stock shelves
• Provide friendly customer service, greeting and thanking customers
• Explain benefits of services and products to promote sales
• Perform sales duties including pricing, promotions, suggestive selling, and stocking
• Maintain store appearance according to standards
• Safely operate customer vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions
• Complete required training promptly
• Follow work schedule and proper clocking procedures
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Assist in training new employees as needed
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum age 17 with parental consent
• Ability to learn technical concepts and operate office equipment
• Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Effective communication with customers
• Willingness to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor conditions
• Compliance with PPE regulations
• Good sensory abilities (vision, hearing, speech, odors)
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and move safely
• Availability for holidays, weekends, and after hours
• Proficiency in English
• Pass pre-employment screenings and have legal work authorization

Note: Ability to obtain a Motor Vehicle Inspection within 6 months for Missouri stores
