Job Description

The General Service Technician role is full-time or part-time and is an hourly position based on the needs of the business. The technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role requires delivering exceptional 5-star service to guests through effective communication of vehicle issues and proposed solutions, ensuring guest expectations for time and quality are met.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently, adhering to Monro standards.
2. Conduct tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patching, mounting, and TPMS repairs.
3. Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrications, bulb and filter replacements, battery testing, and installations.
4. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, identifying and communicating additional service needs.
5. Assist with inventory management and store duties, maintaining cleanliness and readiness.
6. Follow safety standards and procedures, including wheel torque and oil safety protocols.
7. Test drive vehicles following company policies and traffic laws.
8. Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety regulations.
9. Maintain technical proficiency through ongoing training.
10. Operate and maintain equipment safely according to manufacturer guidelines.
11. Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating initiative and strong customer service skills.
