Compensation

The hourly rate for this role is $16.00 to $21.02, with potential incentives based on experience.

Job Description

The General Service Technician role can be full-time or part-time, based on business needs. Responsibilities include performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance, delivering excellent customer service, communicating vehicle issues, and ensuring guest expectations are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and according to standards.
• Conduct tire services including mounting, balancing, and repairs.
• Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, bulb replacements, and battery testing.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, identifying additional needed services.
• Assist with inventory management and store upkeep.
• Follow safety standards and conduct test drives according to policies.
• Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training and complete required courses.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Automotive training or experience in basic car maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
• Own basic tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.
