Overview

Big O General Service Technicians perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires; check and fill fluids; replace filters and lights
• Unload tires and merchandise from trucks and deliveries
• Inspect and dispose of tires properly
• Clean facilities, tools, and stock shelves
• Greet and assist customers courteously and efficiently
• Promote sales by explaining benefits of services and products
• Perform sales duties including pricing, promotions, suggestive selling, and stocking
• Maintain store appearance to standards
• Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
• Complete required training timely
• Follow work schedule and clocking procedures
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Assist in training new employees
• Perform other duties as assigned in line with company policies

Job Requirements

• Minimum age: 17 with parental consent
• Ability to learn technical materials
• Operate computers and office machinery
• Safely operate vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
• Communicate effectively with customers
• Work with hazardous materials safely
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Follow PPE regulations
• Good vision, hearing, speech, and olfactory senses
• Lift and move up to 75 pounds
• Availability for holidays, weekends, and after hours
• English proficiency
• Meet pre-employment requirements and legal work authorization

Note: Ability to obtain a Motor Vehicle Inspection within 6 months for Missouri stores.
