Compensation: The hourly range for this role is $15.00-$18.00 per hour. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Pay will be determined based on experience level.

About The Role

The General Service Technician position is full-time or part-time and hourly, based on business needs. The technician is responsible for performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role requires delivering exceptional 5-star customer service through effective communication of vehicle issues and solutions, while meeting time and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately, adhering to Monro standards.
• Conduct tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patching/plugging, mounting, installation, and TPMS repair.
• Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrications, basic maintenance (bulb, wiper blade, filter replacements), and battery testing/installation.
• Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services and repairs.
• Assist in inventory management by pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure the store is guest-ready according to Monro standards.
• Perform services in compliance with safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and environmental procedures.
• Test drive vehicles following Monro’s Road Test policy, observing traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and safety standards, including environmental and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain technical proficiency through completion of Monro University training modules.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely, including lifts, welders, and brake lathes, following manufacturer guidelines.
