Job Overview

The General Service Technician role is full-time or part-time, hourly, and responsible for basic vehicle repair and maintenance services according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional 5-star service through effective communication and quality work, meeting guest expectations.

Responsibilities

1. Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately.
2. Conduct tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patching, mounting, and TPMS repairs.
3. Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrications, and basic maintenance.
4. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, documenting and communicating additional needs.
5. Assist with inventory management and store duties to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
6. Follow safety standards and test drive vehicles per policies.
7. Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and environmental codes.
8. Maintain technical proficiency through training.
9. Operate and maintain equipment safely.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Profile and Qualifications

• Ability to identify problems, collect data, and recommend solutions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; automotive training or experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
• Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.
