Job Description

About The Role:

The General Service Technician is a full-time or part-time hourly position responsible for basic vehicle repair and maintenance services, delivering exceptional 5-star service through effective communication and quality work.

Compensation:

Hourly range: $14 - $18.50, with potential additional incentives. Pay depends on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct tire services including mounting, balancing, and repairs.
• Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrication, and basic maintenance.
• Complete Courtesy Inspections, identify additional services, and communicate effectively with guests.
• Assist with inventory management and store duties, maintaining cleanliness and guest readiness.
• Follow safety standards and conduct test drives adhering to policies and laws.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training and operate equipment safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Automotive training or experience in basic car maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Report.
• Own basic tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Work in an automotive shop with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, and dust. Must be able to work flexible hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, reaching, and bending.
