General Sales Manager - Spec Gas
Location: The Woodlands, TX

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Specialty Gas General Sales Manager to join our team in The Woodlands, TX. The Specialty Gas Manager will manage Sales and Territory Managers (TMs) to drive profitable growth in specialty gas and gas equipment sales within their assigned region. Responsibilities include setting growth goals, reviewing account plans and sales reports, and working with a cost-to-serve model to ensure effective territory management.

What you will be doing:

  • Achieving or exceeding regional sales, margin, and profit targets
  • Developing sales plans and KPIs to meet objectives
  • Maintaining and growing existing revenue streams
  • Building strong relationships with key customers
  • Securing long-term Product Service Agreements (PSAs)
  • Resolving customer concerns promptly
  • Maximizing wallet share through marketing coordination
  • Collaborating with other regions and Business Units
  • Working with the National Specialty Gas Group on new products and services
  • Ensuring safety compliance in all duties
  • Leading and guiding team members per LINDE's Leadership Strategy
  • Removing barriers to team success
  • Managing department budget and expenses
  • Participating in LEAN and Six Sigma projects related to Specialty Gas
  • Other duties as assigned

What makes you great:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred
  • Experience with a Defined Sales Process
  • 10+ years of sales experience
  • Large account management experience
  • 3+ years in management/leadership roles
  • Strong background in specialty gases and equipment
  • Chemistry or Engineering background preferred
  • Cyro/Bio background preferred
  • Experience in Petrochemical Industry preferred
  • Laser/Metal Fabrication experience preferred
  • Strong computer and research skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel at least 25%
