Job summary

GAT Systems seeks a general laborer for its plant. The role supports multiple departments by interpreting blueprints, selecting tools, and assembling metal pieces. Attention to detail, math skills, and teamwork are essential.

The position offers four ten-hour shifts, weekly pay, overtime options, and growth opportunities within a long-established finishing operation serving North America.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Forklift or crane experience a plus but trainable.
• Good stamina, strength, dexterity.
• Calm and focused under pressure.
• Willingness to learn and work overtime when needed.
• Hourly rate negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical blueprints and determine tools and metals to use.
• Operate cutting tools, spot welding machine, and band saw.
• Cut, thread, and assemble PVC/CPVC assemblies as needed.
• Assist in loading and unloading of trucks and maintain clean, safe work area.
• Read a tape measure and follow safety procedures.

GAT Systems is looking to add a new member to the team! Our company has been a B2B partner in the Custom Finishing industry for over 60 years. Our current opening is for a general purpose laborer in our plant. The individual will support various departments by interpreting mechanical blueprints, determining appropriate tools and metals, using cutting tools, and assembling metal pieces. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, excellent math skills, and be self-motivated and collaborative!

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities we are looking for:

• Perform various physical duties as assigned
• Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Insulating oven panels
  • Operate spot welding machine
  • Operate band saw
  • Cut, thread, and assemble PVC and CPVC assemblies
  • Assist in loading and unloading of trucksMaintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Operate various power tools to cut/route poly panels
    • Jigsaw, router, drill/holesaw, circular saw

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus, but not required. Will train.
• Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
• The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience
