Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation is hiring for a rotating equipment tester at our Mankato, MN site. You will assist in setup and testing of units, read analyzers and scopes, and perform preventive maintenance tasks.

The role requires extensive hands-on testing experience and adherence to safety practices. Qualifications include a vocational/high school diploma with electronics coursework and an approved apprenticeship or equivalent training.

Days of Work: Friday - Sunday

Work Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Work Location: On-site (Mankato, MN)

Starting Salary: $24.58 to $28.57 hourly + 10% shift differential

Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Job Description

Assists in the set-up and test of a unit or units. Works with blueprints, specifications, etc. Runs panel with unit being tested if required. Reads analyzers, meters, and scopes. Daily/weekly TPM tasks must be performed with accuracy and consistency. Must have knowledge of safe set-up and operation of rotating equipment testing. Works with direction from Tester A or supervisor. Eight thousand (8,000) hours experience required to become familiar with and understand testing principles and procedures, to acquire knowledge of testing instruments and their purpose, manufacturing methods and testing techniques. Must successfully complete Tooling U classes for electrical safety. Performs other duties as designated by the supervisor, in the same salary grade or below.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Vocational or high school graduate with coursework in electronics required, plus a formal accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training in testing related trades such as assembler, machinist or electrician.
