Summary

The production operator contributes to all phases of the production process, including operating automated equipment, diagnosing machinery failures, assisting with preventative maintenance, and sanitizing equipment. Operators are expected to make production decisions regarding equipment preflight and operation. Flexibility is required to rotate job assignments throughout production. The operator is also responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring product safety, legality, and quality through competent on-the-job activities.
