Job summary

Greenheck Group’s Marion, NC location produces the METALAIRE product family and has been a cornerstone in the Marion community for the past 20+ years. The assembly role focuses on box assemblies for TH and FP units, with a 7am-3:30pm schedule and a 40-hour workweek.

This is a production position in a manufacturing environment. Starting pay is competitive ($17.51/hr) with regular increases to $18.79/hr and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Basic math skills are needed.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• HS Diploma or GED is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review order for box type and size.
• Review orders for correct options and insulation type.
• Selects proper tools & equipment for tasks.
• Check quality of previous work on parts received.
• Assemble unit with screws or lock form method.
• Make sure quantity matches work order.
• Distribute boxes down conveyor line to next station.
• Maintain daily housekeeping.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

General Summary: Assemble box assemblies for TH and FP units.

Details: 7am-3:30pm Monday to Friday 40 hours weeks

Location: Marion, NC

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Review order for box type and size.
• Review orders for correct options, and insulation type.
• Selects proper tools & equipment for tasks.

• Assemble unit with either screws or using the lock form method.
• Make sure quantity matches work order.
• Distribute boxes down conveyor line to next station.
• Maintain daily housekeeping.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is desirable but not required.
• Mechanical Aptitude.
• Basic Math Skills.
• Ability to read and use Tape Measure.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.

Physical Demands: Must lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis Standing for a minimum of 8 hours per day Continuous lifting, kneeling, pulling, bending, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position requires ability to move with ease in the production area; possess physical strength and stamina to remain in stationary/standing position for prolonged periods; use hands and fingers for potentially repetitive handling, gripping, and manipulating product, tools, and equipment; position oneself to complete work including bending, balancing, twisting, rotating, stooping, climbing, moving over uneven surfaces; push, pull and reach; and lift, carry, move or position objects up to 50 pounds regularly. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to operating machinery with moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, forklift and crane operations, and vibration as well as varied exposure to noise. Personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety toed footwear required. Additional PPE may be required based upon work. This is a safety-sensitive position, and impairment while performing the tasks or duties of this role could pose a health and safety risk to both the individual performing the tasks as well as those around them. Dependent upon location, the facility may or may not be a climate-controlled plant which could result in varied hot and cold temperatures swings at times.
