Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for a General Production role based in Richmond, KY. This contract-to-hire position supports daily manufacturing operations by loading/unloading materials and assisting machine operators to keep lines running on schedule.

Job Title: General Production

Job Description

General Production supports daily manufacturing operations by loading and unloading materials, assisting machine operators, and sorting small, lightweight parts into crates. This role plays a key part in keeping production lines running efficiently, safely, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials and parts to support continuous production flow.
• Assist machine operators with setup, operation, and basic adjustments as needed.
• Sort small, lightweight parts into crates accurately and efficiently.
• Handle crates that may become heavy once filled with parts, following proper lifting and safety procedures.
• Perform general labor tasks to support production, including cleaning work areas and organizing materials.
• Operate production machinery and equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Conduct basic assembly and packaging tasks to prepare products for shipment.
• Use hand tools as required for production, assembly, or minor adjustments.
• Inspect parts and products for quality, identifying defects or inconsistencies and reporting issues promptly.
• Read and interpret simple blueprints or work instructions to ensure correct processing of parts.
• Follow all safety rules, including wearing required protective equipment such as steel-toe footwear and safety glasses.
• Maintain a high level of productivity while working overtime hours as needed to meet production demands.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $16.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
