Allison Transmission in Louisiana is seeking a production team member to assemble subassemblies and complete units in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, fit components to close tolerances, use hand and power tools, and perform tests while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Formación

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Physical dexterity required.
• Ability to read, understand and communicate English.
• Experience in manufacturing or job shop is preferred.

• Fit and align components to close tolerances using hand and power tools.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, strength, fluid/pressure tests and make final adjustments.
• Read and measure dimensions on blueprints and follow sketches and instructions.
• Meet production targets/deadlines during shift.
• Move material or completed product using mobile equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Follow safety and environmental procedures.

Position Overview:

A production team member demonstrates these competencies: Successfully commits self and completes all training requirements to continuously improve skills. Essential Duties:

• Assemble a variety of subassemblies and complete units of varying weights and sizes
• Fit and align components to close tolerances using hand and power tools
• Perform a range of mechanical, electrical, strength, fluid/pressure tests, and make final adjustments
• Ability to use and read precision measuring tools
• Monitor manufacturing equipment and efficiency for timely production
• Ability to read and measure dimensions on blueprints and follow sketches and instructions
• Meet production targets/deadlines during shift
• Use mobile equipment to move material or completed product to established location
• Responsible for meeting quality standards such as measuring, examining, and testing of completed unit to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
• Ability to understand and follow applicable company and regulatory, safety and environmental procedures
• Ability to understand and correctly utilize appropriate PPE equipment as required
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Supervisors/Management

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Basic math skills
• Physical dexterity
• Knowledge of Gear Assembly and process is a plus
• Experience working in a manufacturing plant or job shop is desired
• Ability to read, understand and communicate English
