Job summary

Joseph's Bakery in Lawrence, MA is seeking reliable General Production team members to join our production team on all shifts. You will perform a variety of duties supporting the manufacturing of pita, lavash and wraps while upholding food safety and quality standards.

Open to candidates with or without prior food production experience; we provide on‑the‑job training and cross‑training opportunities across production areas to support career growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or food production preferred but training is provided.
• Basic math and ability to read/write simple instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to learn multiple production functions via cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Perform production duties including stacking, packaging, palletizing, final packing and other general tasks.
• Monitor product quality and packaging standards.
• Support continuous production flow and minimize downtime.
• Prepare finished products for warehouse distribution and maintain clean work areas.
• Follow GMPs, HACCP and safety policies; communicate with cross-functional teams.

Position Summary

Joseph's Bakery is seeking reliable and motivated General Production team members to join our Production team on all shifts. In this role, you will perform a variety of production and packaging duties that support the manufacturing of our high-quality pita, lavash, and wrap products while ensuring food safety, quality, and production standards are consistently met.

Depending on production needs, employees may be assigned to areas such as stacking, packaging, palletizing, final packing, or other general production functions. We provide on-the-job training and opportunities to learn multiple areas of our manufacturing process.

This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment ideal for individuals who are dependable, team‑oriented, and eager to build a long‑term career in food manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of production duties including stacking, packaging, palletizing, final packing, and other general production tasks
• Monitor products to ensure quality specifications and packaging standards are met
• Support continuous production flow while maintaining efficiency and minimizing downtime
• Build pallets and prepare finished products for warehouse distribution
• Assist with product counts, inventory rotation, and production documentation as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area
• Follow all company policies and production procedures, including GMPs, HACCP, Food Safety standards, and Employee Handbook policies
• Communicate effectively with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, Quality, and Sanitation teams
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous manufacturing or food production experience is preferred but not required. Joseph's Bakery is willing to train dependable individuals who are eager to learn and grow within our Production team.

• Ability to read, write, and follow basic instructions

• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Ability to work in varying production temperatures and manufacturing environments

• This is a full‑time onsite position located in Lawrence, MA.
