Job Details
  • Degree/Education: Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002. Must be from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
  • Certifications: None required beyond Basic Life Support.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of post-graduate experience as a physical therapist within the last 5 years.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist.
HCW Duties

The Healthcare Worker (HCW) shall provide services within the scope of clinical privileges granted by MTF Leadership, including:

  • Performing a full range of physical therapy services.
  • Planning and implementing treatment programs based on patient evaluations.
  • Administering manual exercises, soft tissue mobilization, and traction as needed.
  • Instructing and motivating patients in physical activities and use of assistive devices.
  • Documenting treatment responses and progress.
  • Coordinating with physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Engaging in prevention, wellness activities, education, and health promotion.
  • Evaluating and reporting all physical therapy evaluations.
  • Understanding the Department of Defense TRICARE Program requirements.
  • Wearing a beeper during clinic hours and coding visits daily.
