A highly respected, 24-hour veterinary hospital located in Loomis, California, is seeking an experienced and visionary General Practice Medical Director to lead its dynamic and collaborative team. This is a unique leadership opportunity for a veterinarian passionate about high-quality medicine, team development, and advancing veterinary care in both general practice and a multi-disciplinary environment.
The hospital has a large team of 40 doctors and offers general practice, emergency, and specialty services under one roof. The facility was recently expanded to include a state-of-the-art ICU and surgical suite, with five exam rooms, four fully equipped operating rooms, and designated prep, sterilization, and recovery areas, all designed to optimize workflow and patient care.
Advanced diagnostics and treatments include CT, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, Class IV therapy laser, and more. Radiologists are on-site Monday through Saturday for imaging support. The hospital also has specialists in Cardiology, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Surgery, fostering a collaborative, team-based approach.
The hospital is AAHA-accredited and embraces a Fear-Free approach, with team members certified to ensure low-stress patient care. An active internship program offers clinical teaching and mentorship, supported by licensed and unlicensed veterinary technicians, technician assistants, doctors’ assistants, and client service representatives.
