GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This posting is for the purpose of creating a pool of qualified applicants for teacher positions in art for the 2024-2025 school year. Under the direction of the school principal, the Art Teacher will plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students. Responsibilities include:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of VBCPS curriculum and techniques for integrating curriculum, VBCPS policies, and effective instructional practices. A thorough understanding of the teaching and learning process is required, along with the ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education. The candidate should also demonstrate:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited college or university. Must have or be eligible for a teacher license from the Virginia Department of Education. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Salary: Salary will be based on job-related creditable years of full-time, verified work experience. Entry-level salary will be awarded at the time of hire. Upon the return of employment verification forms from the candidate's current and previous employers, the salary will be adjusted if creditable full-time experience is confirmed.
