Georgia Power Company – Plant McDonough Combined Cycle is seeking highly skilled multidiscipline candidates for a General Plant Operator (GPO) position. The role involves operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment in our combined cycle and/or combustion turbine power plants in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities include maintaining plant records in Maximo, participating in maintenance rotations, and supporting operations and maintenance tasks. This posting aims to build a qualified candidate pool for upcoming hiring needs.
Must pass the GPO 2.0 test. Starting salary is $8,333/month ($99,996/year). Candidates must meet the new testing standards effective January 1, 2019.
