Schedule: Part Time Nights Thursday/Friday 6:45p – 7:15am; call requirements

The role you’ll contribute: Under general supervision, a surgical scrub technician/nurse assists with patient care in surgery by performing technical and delegated duties. Acts as a member of the surgical team, serving as a scrub person by providing care to surgical patients across various age groups. Adheres to all applicable regulations and actively participates in outstanding customer service and respectful relationships.

• Performs surgical scrub duties by anticipating the needs of the surgeon and informing the circulating nurse of any needs during procedures. Ensures all supplies, equipment, and medications are prepared prior to surgery.
• Assists with safe and efficient operating room turnover times, directing ancillary personnel as needed, and supporting the surgical team.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Minimum qualifications:
• If LPN, must hold a current, valid Florida license as a Licensed Professional Nurse. Surgical technician certification not required.
• Certification from NBSTSA, National Paramedical Technicians and Assistant Association, or NCCT. RN training program completion accepted in lieu of certification.
• BLS certification
• Translife/Kidney Procurement: requires driving an AdventHealth vehicle.
