Job summary

DuPont is seeking a General Operator in Midland, MI to monitor and operate plant equipment and facilities. You will complete safety checks and maintain compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

You will demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills and participate in Root Cause Investigations, while adhering to Environmental, Health, & Safety standards and rotating through assignments per the plant training model.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of manufacturing experience (required).
• Associate’s degree, technical certificate, chemical process certification, relevant military experience, or prior chemical process experience (preferred).

General Operator – Midland, MI

Summary: As a General Operator in DuPont's Anion & Special Resins division, you will monitor and operate equipment and facilities, maintain safety standards, and provide technical assistance, ensuring all operations meet quality and regulatory requirements.

Shift and Work Environment

7- or 2‑hour rotating shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Rotate through all identified assignments as defined by the plant training model.
• Complete safety checks.
• Monitor and operate equipment and facilities.
• Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills and lead or participate in Root Cause Investigations.
• Assure compliance with all rules, regulations, and Environmental, Health, & Safety requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Climb 9‑50 flights of stairs per shift.
• Lift 50 lbs. (spending up to ~1 hour per shift).
• Operate a fork truck.
• Bend, kneel, and work in various body positions.
• Wear full‑face respirator/SCBA and impervious protective clothing for ~1‑2 hours per day.
• Work outside in various weather conditions.
