Responsibilities of the Job (Or Your Next Destination)

The Reconditioning Center Operations Manager oversees all aspects of the Reconditioning Center, including bottom line management, workflow, performance, and quality assurance. They ensure vehicles purchased at auction meet our standards and are covered by our 3-year/36,000-mile warranty before reaching our retail stores.

Specifically, the responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the dealerships are supplied with a variety of high-quality vehicles to meet sales demands.
  • Achieving financial and operational goals through effective management of the team, expenses, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Collaborating with regional management and the buyer team to set supply chain objectives.
  • Recruiting, screening, and hiring team members to reduce turnover and enhance performance.
  • Conducting regular meetings with staff.
  • Training and developing Team Leads and their direct reports.
  • Evaluating team performance and providing timely feedback based on observations and performance data.
  • Assisting with performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Equivalent experience, training, or education will be considered.
  • At least 4 years managing 15 or more employees.
  • Ability to work effectively with all employee levels and corporate groups.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Nice to Haves

  • 5-7 years automotive repair experience.
  • Supply chain management experience.

Must communicate effectively in English in a safety-sensitive environment.
