Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group seeks a Chief of General OB/GYN to drive specialty leadership across San Francisco and Marin County. The role oversees clinical excellence, access, workforce planning, and service‑line alignment while maintaining an active clinical practice.

The Chief partners with administration to translate strategy into practice standards, staffing models, and measurable performance, reporting to the Women’s Service Line Chair.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Active OB/GYN practice experience with credibility among physician peers.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience and 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with physician recruitment, onboarding, and team development strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead General OB/GYN in alignment with Women’s Service Line strategy and organizational priorities.
• Partner with Administrative Director on staffing, scheduling, templates, capacity, productivity, and workflow.
• Develop and implement initiatives to improve patient access, provider engagement, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure appropriate physician and care team staffing to meet demand.
• Provide leadership in mentorship, onboarding, and performance feedback.
