Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group in San Francisco and Marin County seeks a Chief of General Obstetrics & Gynecology to lead the OB/GYN service line. This role oversees specialty-level execution, advances clinical excellence, access, and performance while maintaining an active clinical practice.

Reporting to the Women's Service Line Chair, you will partner with administration to shape staffing, onboarding, quality programs, recruitment, and mentoring, ensuring standardized care, strong physician

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Active OB/GYN practice experience with credibility among peers.
• 5+ years clinical experience and 3+ years in leadership.
• Experience with physician recruitment, onboarding, and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead General OB/GYN in alignment with service-line strategy and local site needs.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, templates, capacity, productivity, and workflow.
• Develop initiatives to improve patient access, provider engagement, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure appropriate physician and care team staffing to meet demand.
• Participate in onsite rounds to support frontline teams and identify opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs for quality, patient satisfaction, and financial sustainability.
• Drive productivity, optimize workflows, and improve documentation as needed.
• Lead recruitment strategy and onboarding of new providers; foster mentoring.
• Promote growth, innovation, and adoption of technology to improve care.
