Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked with a wide range of grocery products and maintain a clean, organized store environment. You will move items from pallets to shelves, assist with back-room organization, and support daily store operations while delivering friendly customer service.

Ideal candidates are comfortable with basic technology, able to follow established processes, and capable of working overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic technology and POS systems.
• Ability to follow processes and work efficiently.
• Remain calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy teamwork and supporting shared goals.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lift up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move products from pallets or carts to shelves accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard; keep back-room clean.
• Work with leadership to complete tasks on time.
• Provide friendly, respectful customer interactions when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other store operations as needed to keep things running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products


• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately


• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas


• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time


• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment


• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed


• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead


• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
