Job summary

Meijer in Florence, KY is seeking a General Merchandise Clerk to join our family and serve customers with product knowledge, friendly service, and a can‑do attitude.

You will be an entry level team member across departments such as Health & Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, and more, stocking displays and assisting customers using available technology. This role emphasizes teamwork, learning, and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude.
• Be an entry level team member exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.
• Build rapport with customers.
• Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Help customers with any questions they may have.
• Direct customers to another team member who can answer questions you cannot.
• Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
• Collaborate with other team members and managers on additional tasks as needed.
• Work in the departments of Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
