Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level General Merchandise Clerk to provide friendly, knowledgeable service, help customers, and support product displays.

You will interact with customers across a variety of departments and collaborate with team members and managers to keep shelves stocked, pricing accurate, and displays appealing. This role emphasizes service, product knowledge, and teamwork to support the Meijer family culture.

This position will be responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude. This entry level team member position will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

As we grow, we’re seeking an entry-level team member to join us as a General Merchandise Clerk who is able to complete a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, pricing, inventory, and merchandising. Job Responsibilities

• You will build rapport with customers.
• Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Help customers with any questions they may have.
• If you aren’t able to answer their question, you will direct them to another team member who can.
• Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
