The pay range per hour is $23.75 - $40.40.

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience, and certifications. ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE

Experts of operations, process, and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, merchandised, and available, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all GM areas of the store. This team also leads inventory accuracy, merchandise setup, and pricing processes for all areas of the store. They may also lead Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food-safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery of merchandise to our guests by owning pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.

  • Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture on your team
  • Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions strategies
  • Leading a team by planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals, with alignment from your direct leader, all while driving process improvements and enhancing workload efficiency
  • Leading a team of hourly team members; including skills in interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent
  • Coaching and training hourly team members to build a team with direction from your direct leader

As a GM Team Leader, a typical day will include responsibilities such as:

  • Executing daily/weekly workload to deliver sales goals and guest engagement, including merchandising, pricing, setting and updating merchandise displays, sampling, promotions, and price changes
  • Educating your team on operational procedures affecting inventory management, store profitability, and product availability
  • Assessing reporting to identify gaps in GM processes and developing plans to resolve them with your leader's review and approval
  • Being an expert in operations, accuracy, process, and efficiency
  • Assisting with and leading daily tasks like receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, and arranging merchandise
  • Leading inventory accuracy, merchandise setup, and pricing processes
  • Assigning daily tasks based on workload and guest traffic, ensuring alignment with business priorities
  • Establishing clear goals and expectations, holding team members accountable
  • Supporting fulfillment work like pick, pack, and ship, and assessing related reporting to improve processes
  • Collaborating with teams and leaders to ensure store readiness
  • Staying informed about trends and products to educate team members
  • Evaluating candidates and developing a guest-centric team
  • Working a schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Supporting guest services, including cashier duties and digital fulfillment
  • Demonstrating inclusivity, ethical conduct, safety, and security practices
  • Leading safety culture, identifying hazards, and reporting incidents
  • Supporting merchandise protection strategies
  • Creating a welcoming environment and engaging with guests
  • Following all safety and security procedures, including key carrier responsibilities
  • Addressing emergency and compliance needs, and other duties as required

  • A welcoming attitude, good communication skills, and reliability
