Job summary

Walmart is hiring a General merchandise associate in Thomaston, ME to greet customers and assist with purchases on the sales floor. You will help maintain Hobbies & Home Improvement displays and may perform paint mixing and fabric cutting as required.

This in-store role offers full-time hours with mid-shift and closing shifts, and opportunities to learn about products and customer service. You may also be eligible for benefits and company programs.

Hourly Wage

Hourly Wage: $17 - $30 per/hour

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional Compensation

Additional Compensation Includes Annual Or Quarterly Performance Incentives.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Job Overview

General merchandise associates greet customers on the salesfloor, offer them assistance and recommend merchandise based on the customer's wants and needs. They also ensure Hobbies & Home Improvement displays are maintained and in proper order throughout day. Paint mixing and fabric cutting may be required.
