Job summary

Target in Town of Monroe, NY is hiring for an entry-level General Merchandise team member. In this fast-paced, guest-focused role you will help customers find products, restock shelves, and maintain a welcoming store environment.

You will greet guests, operate handheld scanners as needed, support back-up cashiers, and assist with pricing, signage, and product organization. Flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays are available; training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Experience in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
• Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments
• Greet guests with a warm, helpful interaction at 4ft
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers while staying positive and respectful
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Execute daily tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, pricing, and signage for GM areas
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures
• Learn and apply operational procedures affecting inventory, store profitability and product availability
• Follow Target policies and safety procedures and help maintain a safe, compliant workplace
• Support guest services and digital fulfillment processes and adhere to applicable laws
