Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Expert in a fast-paced retail environment. You will greet guests, assist with their needs, and ensure shelves are stocked and correctly signed. You will participate in pricing changes and maintain inventory accuracy across GM areas while upholding safety policies.

Ideal candidates will have strong guest service skills, experience with daily workload planning, and the ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store.
• Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency.
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned to you by your leader to help achieve goals including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes including changing prices to products, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader.
