Job summary

Target is hiring a General Merchandise Expert to support daily store operations and guest experiences. You will greet guests, assist with product needs, restock shelves, and maintain organized backrooms while upholding safety and accuracy standards.

Role requires a friendly, proactive team member capable of handling busy, physical work with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided to build guest-first service skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store.
• Experience in retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement.
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned to you by your leader to help achieve goals aligned with business priorities (receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, signage).
• Operate power equipment if certified.
• Learn how procedures affect inventory management and store profitability.
