Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Expert to assist guests, maintain shelves, and ensure accurate pricing and inventory across the store. You will greet customers, help with questions, restock, and support back-up cashier and digital fulfillment tasks while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes including changing prices, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader.
• Learn how procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about resources and services available in total store to solve issues for the guest.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier and digital fulfillment processes and maintain compliance with laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.
