Job summary

Target in Tupelo, MS is seeking a General Merchandise Expert to help guests with a friendly, efficient shopping experience. You will greet customers, assist them in finding products, restock and organize the sales floor, and support backroom operations to keep shelves full and prices accurate.

You should be comfortable in a fast-paced store, able to work flexible shifts, and collaborate with teammates to meet sales goals. Training will cover policies, safety, and guest services.

• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes.
• Capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: greet guests and assist them in finding what they need, resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience, and end every guest interaction with a sincere thank you.
• Assist with restocking shelves, backroom organization, pricing and signage to support merchandise availability.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes while following safety policies.
• Follow store procedures to maintain product accuracy, stock levels and store cleanliness, and help meet business priorities.
• Operate cash register when needed and assist with checkout processes.
• All other duties based on business needs.
