Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Expert to provide outstanding guest service on a fast-paced sales floor. You will welcome guests, assist with shopping needs, and help keep shelves stocked, accurately priced, and properly signed.

You will support daily tasks, handle promotional signage, and assist with backroom organization while upholding safety and compliance standards. Training will cover store operations and guest experience enhancements.

Qualifications

• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate across multiple devices and use scanners.
• Work independently and with a team, resolving guest questions on the spot.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to solve their needs and provide friendly assistance.
• Thank guests and reinforce that Target is glad they shop here.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize backroom, and set up displays.
• Operate power equipment if certified to move merchandise or fixtures.
• Adjust prices and manage inventory accuracy as directed by leadership.
• Learn how procedures affect store profitability and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources to help guests and improve experience.
• Maintain safety, ethical conduct, and compliance at all times.
• Support guest services including back-up cashier and digital fulfillment activities.
