Job summary

Redner's Markets is seeking a Non-Foods and General Merchandise Clerk to oversee the HBA and GM sections within a grocery store. The role involves loading and checking in merchandise, stocking shelves, and ensuring promotional materials are accurately displayed.

The successful candidate will assist with promotions, maintain inventory levels, greet customers, and follow store policies. This on-site position offers opportunities in a fast-paced retail environment and requires physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise and maintain inventory levels.
• Able to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
• Ability to lift up to forty pounds frequently.
• Retrieve and place merchandise on top racks in grocery aisles.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Stand upright for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading and checking in all department merchandise.
• Transport stock for storage to stock areas.
• Open cartons and check invoices to confirm delivery accuracy.
• Plan and execute in-store promotions and sales events.
• Ensure promotional materials are properly tagged and displayed.
• Monitor shelf levels and keep stock according to tag allocations.
• Assist in building store displays for general merchandise and seasonal sections.
• Rotate dated merchandise and remove out-of-code products as needed.
• Control the level of damaged goods and handle merchandise properly.
• Present assigned section neatly before finishing the shift and check out with the manager.
• Observe policies and procedures established for each department.
• Greet customers who enter the store and remain attentive on the sales floor.
• Maintain a neat appearance per the company dress code policy.
• Abide by all company policies stated in the Employee Handbook.
