Covenant Health's Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for the general laboratory. The role supports high-complexity, routine and specialized testing used in patient diagnosis and treatment.

The successful candidate will perform tests as trained, adhere to quality control processes, assist with proficiency testing, and help maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee State License as a Medical Laboratory Technician is required; ASCP or NCA certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and high complexity tests as trained and assigned.
• Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, analysis, reporting, and record-keeping of results.
• Document corrective actions when test processes deviate from standards.
• Assist with proficiency-testing samples and maintain related records.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document instrument calibrations and maintenance.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and report appropriately.
• Assist in orientation and training of students and new staff.
• Prepare reagents and supplies per specifications; use LIS for accessioning and results.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment; monitor and communicate instrument status.
