Job Title: General Manager

Location: White Oak – Atlanta, GA

Position Summary:

White Oak is seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead our front-of-house and back-of-house teams. The GM is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, managing financial performance, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality and service. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a leader who can inspire teams, drive revenue, and maintain a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations
  • Lead and develop management and hourly staff through coaching, mentorship, and clear communication
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards, service expectations, and company policies
  • Create a culture of accountability, hospitality, and pride in craft
  • Monitor and manage budgets, labor, COGS, and operational expenses
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including weekly P&L, labor analysis, and inventory
  • Work with the corporate team to drive profitability and improve operational efficiency

Guest Experience

  • Ensure every guest receives exceptional service, from greeting to farewell
  • Proactively resolve guest concerns and handle VIPs or high-profile clientele with care
  • Champion training programs focused on hospitality, wine knowledge, and menu fluency

Team & Talent Development

  • Hire, train, and retain top-tier team members aligned with White Oak’s values
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement growth plans for staff
  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, and professional growth
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on promotions, events, and social media content
  • Build relationships with local businesses, hotels, and event planners to drive traffic and private dining sales
  • Represent the White Oak brand at industry and community events

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a General Manager or Director-level role in upscale or fine dining
  • Strong knowledge of Southern cuisine and global wine/spirit programs preferred
  • Proven track record of managing budgets, labor, and inventory in a high-volume setting
  • Passion for hospitality, food, beverage, and team building
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
