Job summary

Recology King County is seeking a General Manager II to plan, direct, and evaluate all aspects of the company’s composting, garbage, and debris collection operations in Seattle. You will lead up to 75 employees, drive safety, efficiency, and profitability, and ensure strong customer relationships with local agencies and stakeholders.

The role requires strategic planning, financial oversight, and the ability to navigate regulatory and policy landscapes.

Qualifications

• 5 years related management experience in waste, transportation or related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and evaluates all aspects of a composting, garbage, or debris collection subsidiary.
• Manages up to ~75 employees and supervises in accordance with policies and laws.
• Achieves short-term and long-term financial and operational objectives.
• Negotiates agreements with customers, vendors, and regulators; ensures regulatory compliance.
