Veterinarian led and owned for three decades, MedVet strives to enhance the lives of pets, their loving families, and the veterinary community. Through this commitment and dedication, MedVet is growing a nationwide network of emergency and specialty hospitals for pets, as well as robust teleradiology services. Our team consists of over 3,500 team members helping to advance our mission of Leading Specialty Healthcare for Pets. This role is eligible for ownership opportunities with MedVet.

VetRad is comprised of almost 30 board-certified radiologists with extensive clinical experience, a number of secondary readers, and 10 support team members. Our radiologists serve more than 500 veterinary hospitals, emergency clinics, and referral centers across the United States, from California to Maine to Florida.

VetRad is searching for an outstanding General Manager. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, collaborating with the VP of Teleradiology/Medical Director of VetRad. The role requires a growth-minded leader to develop growth plans, ensure quality, and consider technology advancements like Artificial Intelligence (AI). The General Manager will have P&L responsibility and provide senior operational and strategic leadership for the Teleradiology business.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan.
2. Create and implement a growth plan for VetRad, aligning with long-term and short-term objectives.
3. Drive innovation and efficiency to meet current and emerging market trends, competitive pressures, and technological advancements.
4. Design and evaluate workflows supporting a 24/7/365 Teleradiology program.
5. Manage VetRad's financial performance (P&L).
6. Provide management-level financial and quality reports regularly.
7. Establish VetRad as an employer of choice, leading hiring efforts for high-functioning medical teams.
8. Collaborate with hospital leadership to operationalize and advance VetRad support.
9. Build a disciplined, efficient team focused on high referral partner satisfaction.
10. Set and achieve targets for quality, financial, technological, and operational performance.
11. Represent VetRad’s culture, values, and reputation externally and internally.
12. Work with medical leadership on technology strategies, including AI implementation.
13. Lead with an entrepreneurial and visionary approach, emphasizing market analytics and customer focus.
14. Understand and address referral partner needs, demonstrating executive presence.
15. Own all aspects of the business, ensuring goals are met or exceeded.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of leadership experience, preferably in imaging or teleradiology, with healthcare or veterinary experience preferred. Key attributes include:
