Shelby Supply Company in Tolland, CT, is seeking a detail-oriented, highly skilled, experiencedGeneral Manager / Team Leader to join us in our North Kingstown, RI location.The ideal candidate will be expected to drive productivity, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the highest level of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with strong knowledge of electrical components, wire feeder operation, high voltage cording.
• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organizational goals.
• Oversee daily operations of the North Kingstown, RI office working with Marketing, Sales, Finance and HR.
• Lead production activities to meet business objectives, optimizing workflow, production processes and schedules.
• Ensure safety regulations are meticulously followed to safeguard health and safety.
• Manage budgets and forecasts, including focusing on cost analysis and operational improvements.
• Maintain quality assurance by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with our key industry players, vendors, and develop new business opportunities.
• Train, motivate, and evaluate employee performance; address and resolve issues within the workplace.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Management, or related field with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience.
• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role in the manufacturing sector.
• Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.
• Demonstrate competency in strategic planning and business development.
• Knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, wire feeder operation, high voltage cording.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, custom-production environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a collaborative mindset.
• Proactive, self-starter attitude with a sense of urgency and continuous improvement focus.
• Engineering knowledge a must.
• Must be able to pass a background check for security clearance to government facilities.
